With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ida Fell Vanderlip (Cary, North Carolina), born in Ridgeland, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 29, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Ida Fell shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Ida Fell farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie F. Fell and Mary Ida Garbade Fell; her husband Charlie Vanderlip; and her daughter Gail Townsend. She is survived by: her children, Brad Vanderlip (Sharon) and Wanda Abbott (Andy); her son-in-law Jim Townsend; and her grandchildren, Laura Feather, Amy DeLoach, Tommy Abbott, Leslie Desmond, Lisa Parnell and Michele Vanderlip. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A reception was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Olive Chapel Baptist Church (600 New Hill Olive Chapel Rd, Apex, NC 27502).
