It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold Norbert McElhaney Jr. (Cary, North Carolina), who passed away on November 7, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Gloria McElhaney (Mazzocco); his parents, Dorothy McElhaney, (Luttrell) and Harold McElhaney, Sr.; his brother James; and his siblings-in-law, Phyllis "Petey" McElhaney and Warren Mazzocco.

He is survived by: his children, Jeff of Washington, DC, Mary Lynne (Ginger Watkins) of Greensboro, NC and Kellie of Oakland, CA; his grandchild Griffin Self of Charleston, SC; his children, Mackenzie Self of New York, NY, Isabel Weinerth of San Francisco, CA and Juliana Weinerth of Oakland, CA; his brother George of Newtown, PA; his cousins, Doug McElhaney and Claudia McElhaney of St. Petersburg, FL; his sister-in-law Susan Mazzocco of Weirton, WV; and his nieces and nephews, Amy, Georgeann, Phil and Tom McElhaney.
