Though Gay Hartsell may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, HJ Hartsell (Herbert Jackson) and Delette Black Hartsell; and her husband James Irvin. She is survived by: her children, Steve Irvin (Carol) of Kinston and Julie Cutler (Glenn) of Cary; and her siblings, Rose Wagoner, Betty Hase, Jane Bates and James Ervin Hartsell. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Brown Wynne Cary Funeral Home (200 SE Maynard Rd, Cary, NC 27511).
