He was predeceased by: his parents, Arne Buer and Anita Buer (Pedersen); and his sister Barbara Wicks. He is survived by: his wife Maggie Smith Buer; and his sons, Karl Buer (Marguerite) of Knightdale, NC and Darren Buer (Jessica) of Indian Land, SC. He is also survived by numerous brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A reception was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Brown Wynne of Cary (200 SE Maynard Rd, Cary, NC 27511).
