He was predeceased by: his siblings, Anne Bailey, Fern Bailey, Shirley Lauer and Stetson Bailey; and his nephews, John Foster Lauer and Scott Haviland.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Glendenning Mitchem; his daughters, Jill Rusche and Laurie Beauchamp (Ed); his grandchildren, Rebecca Perez (Jason), Jeb Beauchamp (Sheri), Lindsay Creech (Mathew) and Ashley Beauchamp; his great grandchild Owen Perez; and his nephews, Chuck Lauer (Carolyn) and Bruce Bailey. He is also survived by four nieces and two nephews.
