He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Edgar and Lillian Agatha Eller Miller; his wife Jane Gardner; his son Steven Gardner Miller; and his siblings, Coy, Ed, Jimmy, Olivia File, Rena Morris and Pauline Leazer.
He is survived by: his sons, Kent Miller (Marilyn) of Spartanburg, SC and Kevin Miller (Tammy) of Cary; his grandchildren, Ryan Miller (Katie) of Mount Pleasant, SC, Marc Miller (Casey) of Cowpens, SC, Rhett Miller (Krystie) of Charlotte, NC and Meghan Boyle (Jimmy) of Spartanburg; his great grandchildren, Jordan Boyle of Spartanburg, Case Miller, Crew Miller of Cowpens, Sally Miller and Sarah Miller of Mount Pleasant; and his sister Zeta Smith of Salisbury, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
