It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Erin Louise Simanskis (Cary, North Carolina), born in Mississauga, Ontario, who passed away on January 26, 2022, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her child Erin; her extended family, Ed and Erin; her husband Ed; her children, Eric and Emily; her parent Melvin McKelvie of Mississauga; and her brother Craig McKelvie of London, Ontario.. She is also survived by cats, dogs.

In lieu of flowers, Erin's family asks for patience as they establish a fund to support parents who work in newsrooms.
