She is survived by: her child Erin; her extended family, Ed and Erin; her husband Ed; her children, Eric and Emily; her parent Melvin McKelvie of Mississauga; and her brother Craig McKelvie of London, Ontario.. She is also survived by cats, dogs.

In lieu of flowers, Erin's family asks for patience as they establish a fund to support parents who work in newsrooms.
