He is survived by: his son David Bitzer, MD (Christine) of Springfield, IL.; his grandchildren, Grant Bitzer (Cate), Bryan Bitzer (Ellen) of Santa Monica, CA and Hannah Bitzer of Fort Collins, CO; and his sister Carol Lampe (Jack) of Collinsville Illinois. He is also survived by several Nieces and Nephews.
