He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Cindy; his sons, John of Durham, NC and Drew (Stevie) of Austin, TX; his father David Kemper Rice, Sr. of Hendersonville, NC; his siblings, Peggy (Robin) of Southport, CT, Kirk (Blair) of Holly Springs, NC and Charley (Robert) of Saluda, NC; his mother Alice; and his brother John. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews and countless cousins.
