He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Heinz and Carol Heinz; and his sister Gretchen. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn "Evie" Heinz of Cary, NC; his children, Heather Morgan Heinz of Tacoma, WA, Devon Nicole Heinz of Tahunanui and Hannah Elise Heinz of Asheville, NC; and his siblings, Edward "Ted" Heinz (Zita), Clifford "Kip" Heinz (Catherine) and Deborah Maxwell (Terence). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Nature Conservancy or the US Lacrosse Tewaarton Native American Scholarship.
