With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Dexter Owen Jr. of Cary, North Carolina, born in Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on June 21, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Cary Caperton Owen; his son William Caperton Owen; and his sister Nancy Owen Cecil. He is survived by: his wife Mary Gee MacQueen Owen; his children, Anne Owen Armfield (Edward), Charles Dexter Owen, III (Eleanor) and Diana Owen Harris (Joe); his daughter-in-law Deborah Owen-Wilhelm (Dan); and his sister Jean Owen Izard. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
