With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol Jean Newman of Cary, North Carolina, born in New York, New York, who passed away on August 26, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Elmer Evans and Lillian Evans; her husband William; her sister Mary; her children, Richard (Lisa), Jeanne Reppert (Dan) and Debbie Cornelius (Scott); her grandchildren, Melissa, Maria, Sierra, Lily (James), Annabelle (Stephen), Nicolas and Lindsay; her great grandchildren, Ellie and Tillie; and her sister Priscilla Evans. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family knows Carol would appreciate donations to be made to the Employee Appreciation Fund at Pennybyrn (Attn: Development), 109 Penny Rd., High Point, NC 27260.
