She was predeceased by: her father Francesco Conte; and her siblings, Beatrice Jerry, Antoinette Williams, Angelina Bright, Yolanda Pinter and Luigi Conte.
She is survived by: her husband Louis Berentes of Thorpe, WV; her children, Mary Berentes of Cary, NC and Joe Berentes (Pam) of Apex, NC; her granddaughter Samantha Berentes of Sneads Ferry, NC; her stepgranddaughter Natalie Bagley (Scott) of Fuquay-Varina, NC; her stepgreat-granddaughter Amelia Bagley of Fuquay-Varina, NC; her sister Aida Ramella (Pete); and her sisters-in-law, Ann Conte, Theresa Longo and Mary Haynes (Paul). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorials be made to Alzheimer's research or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
