She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Perry and Mary Merritt Edwards. She is survived by: her children, Patrice Jones Bass and Corey Pierre Daye; and her siblings, Wanda Corbett, Nancy Merritt, Connie Merritt-Lyon, Monroe Merritt, Cameo Merritt, Gilbert Merritt and Byron Melvin. She is also survived by extended family members and friends.
