He was predeceased by: his parents, Burch Pilson and Opal Oakley Pilson; and his siblings, Linda Parker of Tennessee and Tommy Pilson. He is survived by: his sisters, Joyce Weatherford (Tony) of Laurel Hill and Betty Estes of Sanford. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
