She was predeceased by: her parents, Newton Roscoe Myrick and Bernice Mary Blue; her husband Tommy McKenzie; and her brothers, Randy and Jim Myrick.
She is survived by: her sister Nancy Owens of Whispering Pines; her children, Tammy McKenzie Harward (Wes) of Asheville, Robin McKenzie Briggs (Gary) of Vass and Chris McKenzie (Allison) of Southern Pines; and her grandchildren, Kyle Harward (Meredith) of Greensville, SC, Hannah Harward Sisk (Landen) of Lexington, KY, Gavin Briggs, Avery McKenzie and Kendall McKenzie. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association with a memo stating "in memory of Mary McKenzie".
