It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ann Brewer of Carthage, North Carolina, who passed away on August 15, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Junie Locklear and Carrie Mae Hunt Locklear; her husband Reggie Brewer; her children, Joe Wesley Hunt, Jr., Ruth Payne and Jonathan Lee Brewer; and her siblings, Samuel Locklear, Marshall Locklear, Rachael Locklear and Linda Wooten.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Brewer (Meletha) of Carthage and Rosemary Hunt of Georgia; and her sister Kathy Stanley of Laurinburg. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
