She was predeceased by: her parents, William Luther and Minnie Briggs Gates; her husband Kenneth Clarence Halterman; and her siblings, Ellen Sheaves, Raymond, Edward, Roy and Lloyd.
She is survived by: her sons, Scott Hickman of Sanford, Keith Hickman of Sanford and Jay Hickman of Sanford. She is also survived by four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
