We are sad to announce that on September 16, 2020, at the age of 86, Lonnie Lawson of Carthage, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Cornelius McKinley Lawson and Pearl Irene Gibbons Lawson; and his siblings, Lethia Jamerson, Gladys Haire, Lelar Cooper, Lular Gregory, Claude Lawson, Esker Lawson, Herman Lawson and Hilmer Lawson.
He is survived by: his wife Edna Lee Jones Lawson; his children, Linda Murchison (Dale) of Cameron, Tammy Lynn Shenkel (John) of Stem and Ricky Lee Lawson of Sanford; and his sister Frances Baker Scissoms of Sanford. He is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
