It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnsie Elliott Phillips (Carthage, North Carolina), who passed away on October 27, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Irva C. Elliott and Viola Dennis Elliott; her husband Eugene Douglas Phillips; her daughter Barbara Diver; and her son-in-law Jerry Maddox.
She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Maddox of Sanford, David Phillips (Teresa) of Glendon, Cheryl Purvis (Mark) of Bennett and Mark Phillips of Glendon; and her brother Raymond Elliott (Kay) of Robbins. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
