He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Peter Dowd, II and Eva R. Dowd; his pets, Max and Ollie; and his nephews, Ben Dowd and Luke Dowd.
He is survived by: his children, Sara Dowd, Abigail Dowd (Jason Duff) and Jake Dowd; his siblings, Pete Dowd (Julia) of Carthage, Neil Dowd (Tara) of West End, Tom Dowd of Biscoe, Ann Medlin (Robert) of West End and Harriet Wicker (Jerry) of West End; and his close friend Ray Owen. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Moore Humane Society.
