He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin (B. F.) and Josephine Boyte Whitlock; and his sister Beth Whitlock Spangler (Kenneth G. Spangler). He is survived by: his wife Joy Maness Whitlock; his children, Jill McInnis (Scott McInnis) of Carthage and Joe Whitlock (Amanda Whitlock) of Carthage; his sister Nancy Centner (Ron Centner) of Pinehurst; his grandchildren, Stephen McInnis (Salea McInnis), Rebekah McInnis (Campbell Kirk), Kyleigh Whitlock and Kasey Whitlock; and his sister-in-law Gale Enloe of Robbins. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
