He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Dowd and Fodie Dowd (Seawell); his wife Annie Pearl Dowd; his siblings, Maude Frye (Mack), Frances Baber (Ray), Harold Dowd (Josephine McCaskill), Henry Dowd (Eva Barber), Robert Dowd (Eva Richardson), Charles Dowd (Joan Nall) and David Dowd (Ann Roberts); and his brother-in-law Leo Davis.
He is survived by: his sister Betty Ann Davis of Pinehurst, NC. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
