It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jessie Franklin Dowdy (Carthage, North Carolina), who passed away on September 25, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Dowdy and Etta Maness Dowdy; his daughter Peggy Lee Dowdy; his sister Helen Ritter; and his grandson Franklin Ross Cheek.
He is survived by: his wife Bernice Flinchum Dowdy; his daughters, Debbie Sullivan (Mickey) of Carthage, Phyllis Overton (Brent) of Carthage, Lynn Meyers (Al) of Carthage and Frankie Dowdy Quinn of Whitsett; and his nephew Gregory Ritter (Kinzia) of Carthage. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Due to Covid restrictions seating in the church will be limited to 50 people.
