She was predeceased by: her sister Edna Parks; and her granddaughters, Sonya and Krista. She is survived by: her children, Susie Barnes (Eddie) of Sanford, Shirley Pittman (Kenneth) of Southport and Johnny Beal (Judi) of Mt; her siblings, William Wicker of Greensboro, Flossie Beal of Sanford and Leatha Garner of Myrtle Beach; and also Morris. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
