He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Mack and Allene Mutar Jones Gentry; his wife Nellie Vera Bray Gentry; his siblings, Velma Puryear (Ned), Ollie Gentry (Edna) and Cecil Gentry (Marjorie); his parents-in-law, William Herbert Bray and Dena Tingen Bray; and his siblings-in-law, Bertha Whitt (Riley), Elizabeth Sacrinty (Bo), Jimmy Bray (Betty) and William Herbert Bray (Ethel).
He is survived by: his daughter Denise Gentry McGill (Robby) of Carthage, NC; his grandchildren, Amanda Smith, Jaime McGill and Brent McGill (Hilary); and his great grandchildren, Gavin Merritt Clark, Harper Andrews and Gunner McGill. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
