It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred Erwin Whitesell of Carthage, North Carolina, who passed away on May 4, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Delis Herbert Whitesell and Alice Irene Jeffreys Whitesell; and his siblings, Ferne Bunch, Vernon, Leonard, Mark, Delis Herbert Jr., David, Max and Kenneth.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Blue Whitesell; his daughters, Sharon McDuffie (late Ted McDuffie) and Alison Kluttz (Darryl); his grandchildren, Madisyn McDuffie (Robert Garzo) and Maya McDuffie; his sisters, Linda Upole of West End and Mary Mills of Parma; and his sisters-in-law, Leslie Whitesell of Troy and Deelie Whitesell of Carthage. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
