She was predeceased by: her husband Roy Rogers Tyler; her parents, Tommy Strickland and Ida Mae Strickland; and her siblings, Garnvell, Varnell, N. L. Strickland, Annette Strickland, Eva Mae Sampson and Ruth McGee.
She is survived by: her children, Sheila Tyler of St. Pauls, Sylvia Tyler of Lumberton and Rico Tyler of Lumberton; her grandchildren, Carlos Tyler (Angela), Danny Locklear, Rando Tyler (Marie) and Santanna Tyler (Michael Byrd); her great grandchildren, Shayna, Jacob, Jaydon, Braydon, Aiden, Sayoka and Layke; her siblings, Yvonnie Sampson (Horace), Hellen Strickland, Nancy Wilcox (Donnie), David Strickland and Earl Strickland (Peggy); and her close friends, Jan Woodell, Pam Hunt Locklear and Margie Brown. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
