She was predeceased by: her parents, James Curtis Spivey and Tannie Mae Hight Spivey; her husband Ralph Lee Ashburn; her siblings, Hilda Talley, Nancy Cox and Buddy Spivey; and her son Edgar Ashburn.
She is survived by: her children, Tannie A. Cummings (Lenny) of Carthage, Nancy A. McCullen (Ronnie) of Spring Lake and Curtis Ashburn; her daughter-in-law Lucille O. Ashburn of Cameron; and her close friend Sherrie Jarvis. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Red Branch Baptist Church (1748 Old River Rd, Carthage, NC 28327). Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the White Hill Presbyterian Church (3335 White Hill Rd, Sanford, NC 27332).
