He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Boone and Effie Caviness Boone; and his siblings, Billy Boone, Fred Boone and Marie Snell.

He is survived by: his siblings, Glenn Boone, Betty Snead-Marshall and Shirley Boone. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to FirstHealth Hospice, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374.
