She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Columus and Rosie Phillips Shephard. She is survived by: her husband Roy D. Brown of Carrboro; her children, Ray Eller (Cheryl) of Chapel Hill, Rose Barnes (Troy) of Chapel Hill and Chris Brown of Chapel Hill; her grandchildren, Daniel Barnes (Karen), Crystal Lara (Fernando) and Michael Barnes (Lily); and her sisters, Mary Love of Millers Creek and Maggie Shores of Millers Creek. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
