It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shafton Wayne Hewett of Carolina Shores, North Carolina, who passed away on February 20, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Shafton and Elatha Harrelson Hewett. He is survived by: his wife Doris Small Hewett; his children, Crystal Hewett-Craft (Mike) and Shafton Wayne Hewett, Jr. (Niki); his grandchildren, David Michael Craft, Matthew Hewett Craft, Anna Elizabeth Hewett and Katherine Ava Hewett "Kate"; his pet Hooper; and his sister Dianna Hewett Fonvielle. He is also survived by several cousins that are like brothers and sisters.
