She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Nugent of Carolina Shores; and her brother William Foster (Dorothy). She is survived by: her brothers, Ronald Foster (Jean) of Wilmington and Peter Noland (Connie) of Conway, S. C; her children, Nancy DeFrank (Ernest), Maryellen Owens (Donald), Holly Nugent and Donald Nugent (Barbara); and her grandchildren, Kristoffer DeFrank (Janine), Jenna DeRosa (Shaun), Matthew Owens, Laurel Nugent (Jeremy), Phillip Nugent and Alison Nugent.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the A.S.P.C. in Ruth's name.
