He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Howard Beard and Emma Catherine Stockslager Beard; and his son-in-law Terry Newhouse. He is survived by: his wife Irene D. Beard; his children, Dr. Gregory Beard (Robin) of Erie, PA and Donna Newhouse of Carolina Shores, NC; his brother Robert Beard (Jane) of Whiting, NJ; and his grandchildren, Jonathan Newhouse, Heather Newhouse and Harrison Beard.
