He is survived by: his wife Wanda Daniel Hyler; his sons, John Hyler Jr., Tommy Hyler of Mt. Gilead, Roger Hyler (Lisa) of Swansboro and David Barrow of Swansboro; his brother Don Hyler (Martha) of Concord; his grandchildren, Jordan Nelson, McKenzie Hyler, Chelsea Rose and Nick Minton; and his great grandchildren, Nicholas Minton, Jr., Hannah Minton, Faith Minton, Coal Minton and Katie Minton. He is also survived by his family and friends.
