He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight Preston and Jacqualine Preston (Clark). He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his siblings, Jerry Preston and Scherry French of Illinois; his cousin Ron Clark of Carolina Shores; and his siblings-in-law, Joseph Stumph of Illinois, Eric Stumph of Leland and Julie Sloup.
