It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Edward Wood Sr. of Carolina Beach, North Carolina, who passed away on January 23, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Riley Paul Wood and Jewel Mae Smith Wood; his wife Doretha Ann Wood (Dee); his sister Paula Ann Reich; his daughter Elizabeth Karoline Wood Duggan; and his grandson Lucas Trory Duggan.
He is survived by: his son Thomas Edward Wood Jr.; his daughter-in-law Dawn Wood; his grandchildren, Victoria Duggan, Caitlin Duggan, David Carriker, Erin Burnsed, Abigail Wood and Dale Wood; his great grandchildren, Kloie Duggan, Annabelle Burnsed, Lillah Burnsed, Oliver Burnsed, Elizabeth Hinckley, Martin Hinckley and Rosemary Towne; his sister Katrina Kelly; and his brother-in-law Paul Kelly.
