She is survived by: her children, Veona Hicks (William Dean) of Garland and Gary Padgett (Christy) of Carolina Beach; her grandchildren, Tabitha Ann Hicks and Nicholas Dean Hicks; her stepgrandchildren, Brittany, David and Alex; and her stepgreat-grandchild Brayden.
