He was predeceased by : his parents, Roland Gordon and Zella Vess Gordon; his siblings, Merlin Gordon and Judy Gordon Cole; and his sister-in-law Beverly Gordon.

He is survived by : his wife Carolyn Biggerstaff Gordon; his children, Gene Gordon (Sandy) and Christine Noschese (Bart) of Rutherfordton; his siblings, Glenn Gordon (Pat) of Greenville, SC, Kenneth Gordon of Sandy Mush and Yvonne Lawson (Larry) of Bostic; his grandchildren, Chad Gordon (Megan) and Peyton Noschese Lutz (Jack); and his great grandchildren, Emma, Zella, Branson, Berkley and Jensen.
