With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Cannon Smith of Caroleen, North Carolina, who passed away on December 24, 2023 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Don Cannon and Hazel Womick Cannon; and her sister Tina Brijl. She is survived by: her close friend Douglas Garrett; her children, Bronson Moore (Gina) of Ellenboro and Tracy Miller (Derick White) of Caroleen; her sisters, Donna Flynn (Mike) of Cliffside and Lisa Smart (Dennis) of Ellenboro; her uncle Carl "Ham" Womick; her aunt Nadine Scruggs; and her grandchildren, Courtney Moore, Kelsey Moore, Ryan Moore and Kirstie Miller. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
