She was predeceased by: her husband J. C. Wishon; and her son Jason Clint Wishon. She is survived by: her siblings, Chris Burgess (Libby) of Asheville and Linda Biggerstaff of Forest City; her niece April Burgess-Johnson; and her nephews, Keith Biggerstaff and Shane Burgess. She is also survived by cousins and close friends.
