He was predeceased by: his father Raymond Coffey; and his siblings, Junior Coffey, J. C. Coffey, Sheila Trotter, Peggy Philbeck and Lester Coffey.
He is survived by: his children, David Coffey, Jr. of Chesnee, SC and Elizabeth Travis (John) of Forest City; his sisters, Barbara Baldwin (Johnny) of Virginia Beach, VA and Diane Cole of Mooresboro; and his grandchildren, Leo Coffey, Lydia Coffey, Samuel Travis, Jacob Travis and Timothy Coffey.
