She was predeceased by: her father Charles Shaw; her son Jeffrey Jernigan; and her brother Bobby Shaw. She is survived by: her son Jordan Jernigan of Harrells; her mother Dorothy Shaw of Bladenboro; her siblings, Kim Pineda (Oscar) of Whiteville, Tammy Inman (Tim) of Elizabethtown, David Shaw of Bladenboro and Thomas Shaw of Bladenboro; her grandchildren, Jeffrey "JJ" Jernigan of Elizabethtown, Alexis Brooke Jernigan of Elizabethtown and Blaire Rae Talton of Chadbourn; her great-nephew Jagger Gardner of Pembroke; and her nieces and nephews, Savannah Shaw, Coreanne Shaw, Ashley Shaw, Zachary Shaw, Blake Gardner, Alyssa Gardner, Aaron Inman, Tina Horton and Bella Inman.
A reception was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home (111 N Ingold Ave, Garland, NC 28441).
