We are sad to announce that on December 14, 2019, at the age of 65, Leland Strother (Cape Fear, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Dewey Strother and Bessie Rorie Strother Parks; and his sister Angela Ray. He is survived by: his wife Judy Daniels Strother of Raeford, NC; his children, Amy Strother Harvey (Larry) of Raeford, NC and Graham Dewey Strother (Ashley) of Morehead City, NC; his grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Harvey, Lillie Grace Harvey and Avery Lynn Strother; and his sister Betty Jordan of Wilson, NC. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews.

“Leland was my very first amateur radio contact on Veterans Day 2019. We talked for quite some time and as a volunteer firefighter myself he made an impression . He was extremely nice on the radio and a pleasure to listen to. He impacted me in that short amount of time within my new hobby and I would continue ever since. I am so sorry for your loss.
