He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Everett and Mattie Lee Sanders (Pulliam). He is survived by: his wife Linda Jane Lockbaum Sanders; his sons, Jerry E. Sanders, Jr (Ruth) of Greenwood and Daniel C. Sanders (Jennifer) of Raleigh; and his sisters, Skerrett of Aurora and Leona Ward of Hattiesburg, Mississippi.. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
