It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garda Marie Tatum in Cape Fear, North Carolina, born in Monmouth, Illinois, who passed away on March 7, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Billy and Faye; her in-laws, Harry and Catherine Tatum; her siblings, Sarah Williamson and Shawn Gillen; and her siblings-in-law, Linda and Harry Tatum.
She is survived by: her husband Curtis Norman Tatum; her children, Curtis Norman Tatum, Jr. and Stacy Tatum Pritchett-Mason (Lewis); her grandson Matthew Pritchett; her brother Casey Gillen; her siblings-in-law, Wes Williamson, Cathy and Donovan Vinson; and her nieces and nephews, Jenny, Eric, Shelly, Ashley, Mary Catherine, Carrie, Billy Jo, Marsha, Presley and Grant. She is also survived by cousins, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
The family requests that charitable donations be considered in lieu of flowers. Monetary gifts can be made in her name to Salem Church in Eastover, NC., Alzheimer's research, Cerebral Palsy research, or your local school to serve students in need.
