He was predeceased by: his parents, Iris C. Deal and James M. Deal; his sons, Tony and Doug Deal; his former wife Allie Young Deal; and his brother Charles Patterson Deal.
He is survived by: his wife Laverne Lee Deal; his daughter Susan Speight (Joe); his grandchildren, Robert Deal, Erin Deal Maierson, Christen Mitchell and Matthew Wyatt Deal (Samantha); and his children, Robert Giles and Debbie Giles. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews.
