In loving memory of Shirley Maberry Pelfrey R. N. of Cape Carteret, North Carolina, born in Galax, Virginia, who departed this world on January 28, 2025 at the age of 87. She was predeceased by: her parents, Garland Ambrose Maberry and Ethel Harris Maberry; her son James Howard Long; and her grandson Jimmy Dustin Browning. She is survived by: her daughters, Jeanie Smith (Gary) and Donna Morgan; and her grandchildren, James Derrick Browning, Angela Gail Wood (Randy), Nichole Marie Long (Silder Lopez), Christen Dawn Hunter (Micah) and Jessica Ashley Kalt (Chris). She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Diuguid Waterlick Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
