He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Carroll Cook and Nova Ardell Clontz Cook; and his brothers, Howard Ray Cook and Hillard "Nook" Sherrill Cook. He is survived by: his wife Frances Best Cook; his children, Carroll Cook of Canton and Genean Cook Pless (David Pless) of Waynesville; his grandchildren, Joni Pless Mease (Justin Mease) and Matthew Pless (Brittany Pless); his great grandchildren, Jake Mease, Luke Mease, Sawyer Mease, Warren Pless and Leah Pless; and his sister Eva Lou Breece.
